The item game is a gimmick to get people to log in to collect items on their account for points and bragging rights… as well as attempt to discourage bot accounts.

To get the seemingly randomly generated items of various rarities, you would need to complete a captcha before anyone else… Usually a math problem. If you didn't complete it in time, you wouldn't get the item.

Based on the amount of points you get for this item, I would say it is a pretty rare item.
