Y UGI'S PENP L f you read our first interview with Kazuki Takahashi in SHONEN go JUMP No. 2, or the zombie storyline in Yu-Gi-Oh! Vol. 3, you probably know he's a fan of American comics. But maybe you didn't know who his favorite comic character iswe didn't know either, until we asked him to draw his favorite... with Yu-Gi-Oh!-style hair TAKAHASHI Takahashi's favorite is... Hellboy, the infernally powered hero created by American independent comics superstar Mike Mignola! Just now cele brating his first movie and his 10th anniversary Hellboy was a baby demon summoned to Earth by Nazis, then raised as a good guy by American soldiers. Since then, he has fought demons, vam- pires, alien gods, goblins and wizards of all kinds Since Takahashi drew Hellboy with a Yugi rashion statement, we contacted Mignola himself, and he kindly agreed to Hellboy 02004 draw his own version. The two artists then exchanged drawings. Don't expect Hellboy and Yugi to show up in each other's comics -the crossover stops here - but we're honored to print these two never-before-seen drawings Many thanks to Mike Mignola for giving us per- mission to print these drawings!
