Many of you already know that the Guardian from Samurai Jack heavily resembles Morpheus from the Matrix. But it goes further than just the appearence,in fact another nod with the Matrix could be the Colors of the Guardian and the pills RED PILL-the glasses BLUE PILL-the skin Jack when he confronts the Guardian has two choices and are quite similiar to Morpheus descriptions: BLUE "You wake up in your bed and you believe whatever do you want to believe" Jack wants to go back to the past,in his timeline,leaving behind everything he encountered at that point,just like nothing happened RED "You stay in Wonderland and I show how deep the rabbit hole goes" Jack stays in the present and fight against Aku's army,expanding his knowledge and improving himself. The Guardian also says that only the "Chosen One" can use the portal and Jack wasn't. The reason is because he decided to take the lue pill and The "One" in Matrix is referred as a "Man born in the Matrix". In this case Jack has to fully grow in Aku's world so he can finally be ready and achieving the status of the going back to the past. "Chosen One
