The Gem Society is extremely collectivist and rigidly caste-based, to the point where all the gems of certain types resemble one another, and are not treated as separate entities. The rebellion of the Crystal Gems was a discovery of individuality, which was anathema to the structure of Gem Society. As seen in flashbacks, dissenting opinions, actions, and thoughts were all enough to get a particular gem shattered and there was no value to an individual gem's life because they could always just produce more. It is easy to see how the actions of the Crystal Gems represent the development of individualist ideas in a collective society. For a real world example: consider what happens to feminists who disagree with mainstream collective thought, or have a dissenting opinion--they get crucified Look at the casual racism displayed between different gem castes: Peridot always berated Pearl for being a less-capable member of the servile class, while she was created to be an engineer. When they had a robot-build off, Pearl performed admirably well, but still lost the contest. This essentially proved Peridot's point--which makes me wonder why /pol/ doesn't like this show--but also illustrated that gems could grow and rise above their class and race if they work hard enough--which makes me wonder why SJWs like this show. Peridot later warms up to the rest of the cast and becomes more tolerant (and tolerant in the real way, not the SJW way) The latest episode with the Human Zoo was also particularly red-pilling. I'm a big fan of Eden stories, as long as they keep the retelling fresh. And while /pol/ might have been triggered by the gender-neutral casual wear (I was), this essentially illustrates what happens to a human society when you remove all choice, free will, and numb them from pain. All the good things about their idyllic life were forgotten, just because Greg refused to participate in their game (or f--- them. I'm assuming it was f------, but lets call it a game as a construct) And what's the very next thing that happens? The Godlike all-female matriarchal amethyst squad enters the scene, and IMMEDIATELY starts consoling the zoo residents. They tell them "Shhh, its okay honey, you'll be fine, don't worry about what the mean man said. It's not real." Go back to your blue pills. Go back to Plato's cave. Stay here in the safe space. This is what the Gem Empire, the villain, wants you to believe I could go on further, but I'd like to just rhetorically ask again: Why the f--- do SJWs like this show?
