However, these comments are not only derogatory, but also micro-aggressions to some UMass Students Similar to RAPs (Residential Academic Programs), UMass also otters "Defined Residential Communtes" (or DRPs). In which groups of students sharing similar hertages, ethnicities and/or identities are able to live together We ofter a DRP tocusing on African Amencan hentage and t is called the "Harambe floor "Harambe" ts uctualy a Swahill word, which stands for "the point where people pull together it has a very postive connotabons, but current social meaia has been misrepresenting it The noot has been in existence tor many years, so any negatve remarks regarding "Harambe" will be seen as a direct attack to our campus's Alrican- American community, Please be caretul of what gets writen on your whiteboards, as wes as what you write on theen if you are not the one wnting hese remarks, please let us or the RA on duty know ot body parts runs the isk of To be very clear using poputarzes phraseshashtags which encourage the exposhon being reported as a Tte IX Incident These are sexual assaut Incidences that not ony get reported to Communit Standard, but also to the Dean of Students.
