Unspoken Rizz vs. Sexual Harassment is a variant of the Flirting vs. Harassment meme template that substitutes the word "flirting" with Unspoken Rizz, as in, the alpha male ability to attract a woman without even trying. Two image macros or characters are typically inserted into the template and compared against each other based on their charisma and attractiveness. Another similar template is Hello, Human Resources?! It first surfaced on Twitter in mid-2022, spreading throughout the year.
Origin
On May 14th, 2022, Twitter[1] user therealt3mi tweeted, "tf is a unspoken rizz," gaining roughly 3,900 likes in six months. On May 15th, 2022, Twitter[2] user isuspec replied with an image that showed a buff, Black man (Twitter[3] user greysweatsking) compared against a nerdy, Black man (real name Finn Gardiner[4]) with the first labeled as "Unspoken Rizz" and the second as "Sexual Harassment." Over the course of six months, the meme received over 820 likes (shown below).
Spread
On May 24th, 2022, notable TikToker[5] Brick Nermon (@bricknermonstreamclips) posted the aforementioned meme within a photo slideshow, gaining roughly 211,900 plays and 37,100 likes in six months. Then on the same day, the Instagram[6] page guacamole_mp4 posted the meme with Nermon's watermark, gaining roughly 1,800 likes.
On June 7th, 2022, the Instagram[7] page halabi2trappy posted a new version of the template that labeled Syrian Arab singer Omar Souleyman as "unspoken rizz" and Drake as "sexual harassment," gaining a large yet hidden amount of likes (shown below, left). On October 2nd, 2022, Twitter[8] user bruhdanz2 replied to a tweet about YouTuber Dream's Face Reveal, labeling Dream on the right side. The meme received roughly 2,600 likes in one month (shown below, right).
The aforementioned meme was reposted to Instagram[9] on the same day, earning roughly 9,900 likes. thereafter, multiple iterations of the same template surfaced across platforms like Reddit[10] and elsewhere.
The format also inspired TikToks that inserted videos, not pictures. For instance, on October 4th, 2022, TikToker[11] richardnuts69 posted a duet with a guy who blatantly kissed a girl after randomly asking her on the street if she liked Bladee. TikToker richardnuts69 labeled the man as "Unspoken Rizz" and himself as "Sexual Harassment," attesting that he could never do such a flirt. The video received roughly 142,700 plays and 24,300 likes in one month (shown below).
