Twiggie is the name of the popular fan-made reimagining of the character Twilight Sparkle from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic cartoon series. originally created by the artist Jargon Scott.
Unlike her canon canon counterpart Twiggie is depicted as surly, hostile and selfish, as well as being extremely racist, much to the dismay of all the characters around her.
Another iconic feature is her short stubby legs and large white eyes that always express discontent and negativity.
Twiggie is a subject for many pieces of fan-art within the brony community and stars in many humorous comics and cameos written by many different artists

History

The original iteration of the character was called Sparkles! the Wonder Horse! which was featured in a fan-made comic series by the artist TJ-Pones and was uploaded to the brony image board Depibooru. the comic simply flipped all the traits of the original Twilight Sparkle and made her opposite to her canon friendly and kind nature so she would be megalomaniacle and evil

the character started to be more recognized as Twiggie when the artist Jargon Scott made a series of humorous comics depicting Twilight as poorly drawn and racist

Popularity

Since the alt-character's debut Twiggie received a cult following many different artists made images of her and as of the writing of this article Twiggie has more than 350 tagged images on the Depibooru image board.
a noteworthy mention is that during the 2020 4Chan Cup virtual football event. whenever the /mlp/ team played, the football model would be replaced with a 3d Twiggie model
