When he contessed that he ked Sonic unironicaly people actually glanced at him like he's f------ crazy when we were both kidsjearly teens, I made him like Sonic a lot b recommending the game Sonie Unleashed, and even though the game waS mixed bag, it was enough to make him a Sonic fan. All seemed well for Sonic and Generaions, but ater Lost Wanld and the abomination that s Sonic Boom, nobody took Sonic serlousily anymore, and they fet that Sonic s me modem Bubsy Yeah, it's funny that such a video game lcon who was once universally loved b people and even more recognizable than Mickey Mouse ended up becoming a symbol of a ideo game franchise doomed to die so much that being a fan of Sonic is apparently against the law of gamers. How did people went from reacting to Sonic ike this This is beautiful Love this To ths? This f-----' sucks How did crawing his become acceptable But drawing this unacceptable? Perhaps it was the decision from Sega to make dumb mistakes that got people's taste on Sonic a lot more sour But seeing that itgot to he point that people took down on Sonc tans as crazy people, t'sperhaps avagK uing tor uch a gaming icon to become ridiouled to that point As for me, I've only recently (ind of) returned to the Sonic fanbase, but mostly o write stones and s--- ·have sort of this love-and-rate thing wm sonic For one, I do ike his classic games, alongside Colours and Generations, and I do lke the character alongside a few others. But on the other hand, h tte was clear to me that he'I never be the same as he once was ever again Most af his games are more on the medlocre sides a good amount of shem are plain bad, and only a handful of them are actuaity good games. If his new 25th anniversary game won't do him jusce,I dont think he' ever be the video game mascot he once was But yeah, seeing how Sonic games have become so bad that ing the blue guy is seeing as smiar to iking Justin Bieber, as the OP has shown above, is kinda funny and sad at the same time Most lkely his games wl never be the same ever again, and I certainly dont want to endure 4 or &bad and mediocre games just to get one or two good Sonic games it makes me wonder how ar Sonic can take before he utimately Gisappears from history, just ike how Crash Bandicoot and Castevania were put down its sort of sad to think about
