Is it safe to skip Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 1 aka Phantom Blood? 2 Answer a Follow 1 +8 Request 5 Answers Ben O'Brien Answered Oct 3 NO. DON'T EVER SKIP PARTS. YOU WILL BE AN ENEMY OF THE JOJO FANBASE. Ok, to elaborate, while each part can be a story on its own, you don't really get the bigger picture unless you watch/read it in order. It's really satisfying to watch the series evolve from a buff honorable Englishman punching vampires with sunlight karate to a Japanese man with a sailor hat and four testsacles waking up in a hole in the ground not remembering who he is or how he got there. It's also nice to see returning characters in each part. But no. Definitely don't skip part 1. It may be one of the least good parts, but I still like it. And I think it has a powerful ending. You will forever be hated and known as a "Part Skipper" if you skip. That's just the way the JoJo's fanbase works.
