Bibleman is a direct-to-video children's television series featuring the exploits of the Christian superhero "Bibleman," who uses the power of faith and prayer to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to children.
History
Created by actor Willie Aames, Bibleman first appeared in 1995. The character would appear in a series of different incarnations between 1995 and 2010. There have been 25 episodes of the live action series.
In 2000 a series of Bibleman themed action figures were released (shown below). That year, there were also a series of Bibleman live performances as well as a book entitled The Bibleman Bible.The following year, a Bibleman boardgame was released, allowing players to travel through the town of "Shatzville" and save children.
In 2005 The Bibleman Video Game Adventure: A Fight for Faith was released to mixed and negative reviews.
In 2016, P23 Entertainment released a trailer for an animated Bibleman series (trailer below).[2] Later that year, Bibleman: The Animated Adventures was released on DVD.

Reception
Bibleman has received generally negative reviews both for production and narrative quality. The series currently holds a 2.5 out of 10 rating (based on 545 votes) on IMDB.[4] The animated series currently has a 3.2 out of 10 rating on IMDb.[3]
Online Reaction
The series has also become the subject of mockery on sites like Reddit.
On January 23rd, 2013, Redditor[8] trampus1 posted a YouTube clip of the series and said that they made it four minutes before turning it off. Within five years, the thread received more than 475 points (93% upvoted) and 250 comments.
On June 14th, 2014, Redditor[5] Thire2199 posted a picture of two Bibleman DVDs (shown below) in the /r/funny subreddit. Before archiving, the post receive more than 1,000 points (85% upvoted) and 145 comments.
On June 19th, 2015, YouTubers[9] Hugo and Jake posted a video (shown below, left) entitled "Atheists Watch 'Bible Man.'" In the video, the two hosts mock the series' script, production and acting. The video received more than 213,000 views in two and a half years.
The following year, the YouTubers released a follow-up video (shown below, right) entitled "Atheists Watch 'The New Adventures of Bibleman!'" The video received more than 127,000 views in two years.
On May 30th, 2016, an anonomyous 4chan[7] user posted an image that featured a picture of Bibleman with the caption "Bibleman is watching you masturbate." The thread and image (shown below) received more than 255 replies before archiving.
On October 24th, 2017, an anonymous 4chan [6] user posted about Bibleman in the /m/ forum. The thread, which received more than 30 comments, featured various users mocking the show.
