Stuck in NSP refers to a catchphrase said by a Non-Stop-Pop FM station radio host in the GTA V game. The phrase and audio were later turned into a TikTok trend that started in October 2023, in which people pretended to be visiting the fictional town where the game takes place, Los Santos, using real footage of Los Angeles and other areas that looked similar to the GTA city.

Origin

On June 6th, 2022, the TikTok^[1] page @non.stop.pop.fm uploaded using a sound from the GTA V game radio station Non-Stop-Pop FM, which was hosted by Cara Delevingne. The post (shown below) uses a montage of a real-life steering wheel paired with the gameplay of a person driving through the fictional city of Los Santos, which amassed over 298,000 plays and 28,500 likes in a year.

One of the earliest uses of @non.stop.pop.fm's audio for the Stuck in NSP trend was uploaded on September 7th, 2023, by TikTok^[2] user @tompowelll, who shared a POV video with the overlay text "POV: you put on GTA radio stations while driving and pretend you're living in Los Santos." The video (shown below, left) amassed more than 1.9 million plays and 292,000 likes in four months. On December 10th, 2023, TiKTok^[3] user @rockstcar uploaded a video (shown below, right) pretending to land in Los Santos, which received over 9 million plays and 1.7 million likes in a week.
