Search "Gok" On Discord GIF Finder refers to a series of memes including GIF captions and image macros where people are either encouraged to or discouraged from searching for the term "Gok" on Discord's Tenor GIF search function. By searching the term, users were once able to find a foot fetish image of Goku from Dragon Ball Z sitting in a bathtub with his feet up in the air, although it has since been removed. The memes started to go viral online around November 2021 and became increasingly popularized throughout 2022. Its spread is similar to the popularization of the Discord sex hack.

Origin

On November 15th, 2021, Twitter^[1] user @cbananae posted, "Dont search up Gok in discord gifs Worst mistake of my life," a reference to the Worst Mistake of My Life meme (shown below). The user commented the results of the search under the tweet, sharing a GIF of a drawing of Goku from Dragon Ball Z with his bare feet up lounging in a bath. The tweet garnered over 20 likes in a year. Supposedly, the image was originally drawn by DeviantArt^[2] user masutaa but has since been deleted.

Over the course of 2022, people began spreading memes encouraging and discouraging people from searching "gok" on Discord's GIF search function, as well as reacting to searching it, which is connected to the GIF site Tenor. Many of the memes were notably posted to Tenor^[3]^[4]^[5] (examples shown below). On October 19th, 2022, Twitter^[8] user @owthe_3dge posted, "Search up gok on Twitter gifs and you’ll find out," in response to a tweet looking for the most cursed image, garnering over 3,000 likes in two days.

On October 27th, 2022, Twitter^[6] user @Mania4lyf3 posted a screenshot of their search results for "gok" on Discord's GIF search, writing, "GOK IS GONE FROM DISCORD SEARCH!!!!!" garnering over 30 likes in a month (shown below). On November 19th, Redditor jesset77 posted on /r/OutOfTheLoop^[7] asking what the memes mean, garnering over 170 upvotes in two days.
