About
Pig State, also known as Pig State University, refers to a Minecraft College Football team in the so-called MCAA where pigs are predominantly enrolled. Pig State memes, videos and fancam edits surfaced en masse on TikTok in October 2024, often paired with other Minecraft football teams like Villager Tech or Ole Moo, among others. Pig State lore notably includes the Pig State Pink Out in which students wear all pink to a game and the infamous Pig State Bombing where the field was bombed after students rushed the field causing a mass causality event according to the memes.
Origin
The first video about Pig State was shared by TikToker[1] @pigstateofficial on October 12th, 2024, including a text caption comparing, "What people think Pig State pink out is" vs. "What it actually is." The video received over 4.5 million plays and 546,900 likes in 10 days (shown below).

In the following days, others began posting content about Pig State. For instance, on October 13th, 2024, TikToker[2] @mccaoffical posted a video that showed a Pig State Pink Out game moments before a "bombing," gaining over 5.1 million plays and 513,600 likes in nine days (since deleted).
On October 16th, TikToker[3] @abstryischallenged posted a video about Pig State walking out to their new $13 billion stadium, gaining over 4.8 million plays and 762,300 likes in six days (shown below).

On October 18th, Twitter / X[4] user @Freudy tweeted, "Is anyone else on Minecraft college football TikTok or am I the only one watching Pig State play against Villager tech," amassing over 64,000 likes in four days (shown below).
