About

Touchdalight, aka Carmie Sellitto, is an English YouTuber who became infamous after making clickbait videos with titles stating he was engaging in romantic and sexual acts with his "little sister" in the videos. Several YouTubers came out against him after he posted a video in which he said his little sister would remove a piece of clothing for every kill he got in Fortnite.

History

Sellitto is from Hampshire, England.[1] He began posting to YouTube in February of 2012. His first video, titled "don't watch this," gained over 34,000 views.

Over the following six years, he continued posting regularly, usually gaining tens of thousands of views with "Storytime"-style clickbait videos. His most popular videos include one where he reads his brother's suicide note which gained over 2 million views (shown below, left) and one of him reacting to the #SaveMarinaJoyce campaign, which gained over 1.8 million views (shown below, right).

Pedophilia/Incest Controversy

In April of 2018, YouTubers began noticing videos in which Sellitto posted videos with titles claiming he was engaging in incestual and pedophilic behavior. For example, in one video, he claimed to be playing truth or dare with his thirteen-year-old sister, with the thumbnail showing him and a woman kissing. The video was briefly titled "Truth or dare with my girlfriend" (shown below). However, in the months since the video's posting it has gone back to calling the woman "sister."

The controversy came to a head when he posted a since-deleted video on April 11th, 2018, in which he claimed that for every kill he got in Fortnite, his "13-year old little sister" would remove an article of clothing.

The video angered YouTubers who then caught on to other videos with similar titles Sellitto had posted. A video posted to Twitter by @skywilliams about the controversy gained over 16,000 retweets (shown below).

DramaAlert covered the controversy on April 12th in a video that gained over 1.3 million views (shown below, left). After the controversy, Sellitto posted a video in which he admitted that the titles were clickbait and he was not a pedophile (shown below, right). The controversy was covered by The Daily Dot.[2]

Online Presence

Sellitto has developed a significant social media following, amassing over 350,000 subscribers on YouTube,[3] 108,000 followers on Twitter,[4] and 121,000 followers on Instagram.[5]
