The Pen Girl Incident refers to a viral gore video in which a girl is stabbed with a pen multiple times by an angered male student during a presentation with his other classmates. Origin

On May 8th, 2023, a male, ninth-grade student at Dom Jacson Damasceno Rodrigues Municipal School, in Manaus, Brazil was arrested by authorities for attempted murder.^[1][2] A video was leaked from the incident, showing that the student had attacked a female student during a presentation, stabbing her multiple times with a pen.^[1][2] The female student had allegedly laughed at the male student, inspiring the attack (censored screencap shown below). ^[1]

The video went largely viral when it was posted to the /r/PublicFreakout^[3] subreddit by Redditor tyforcalling on May 13th, 2023, gaining over 22,000 upvotes in eight months.
