OMG It Migu refers to a series of redraws inspired by an MS Paint drawing of Vocaloid Hatsune Miku on stage, with "Miku" intentionally misspelled as "Migu."

Origin

On September 19th, 2023, Facebook^[1] page "Stupid moe shit" uploaded an MS Paint drawing of Hatsune Miku on stage with a fan yellin "OMG it Migu", to which Miku replies "yeee". The post received over 3,100 reactions and 9,000 shares in one year.

Spread

The image grew popular as a redraw meme among the Hatsune Miku community on social media. For example, on April 13th, 2024, Twitter / X @HatsuneMiku^[3] user uploaded an edit referencing the "2024 Miku Expo" event. The post received over 3,800 reposts and 27,000 likes in six months (shown below).

On July 1st, 2024, the same user^[2] reposted the original image and received over 18,000 reposts and 144,000 likes in three months.

On August 26th, 2024, Facebook^[4] page "That Time I got Reincarnated as a LowRes Admin" uploaded an I Guess We Doin' Circles Now edit that also referenced the Saiba Momoi Says The N-Word meme, Oh My Gotto, and Every Country's Miku to the "That Time I got Reincarnated as a LowRes member" group. The post received more than 3,000 reactions and 1,200 shares in one month. The next day, Twitter / X^[5] user @CryingEmojiman reposted it and received more over 8,900 reposts and 80,000 likes in one month (shown below).
