Mickey No More

Mickey No More, colloquially referred to as Hitler Mickey, refers to an artwork by Vladimir Krisetskiy depicting a monument of Mickey Mouse as a fascist dictator and a clash between rioters and riot police happening next to it. Originally posted to DeviantArt in 2010, the image has since been used in various memes, predominantly about Disney and undesired events.

Origin

On November 11th, 2010, DeviantArt^[1] user bopchara posted an artwork depicting a monument of a fascist leader closely resembling Mickey Mouse, with a clash between rioters and riot police wearing helmets in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head happening next to the monument. The artwork (shown below) received over 51,000 views and 1,500 favorites in 13 years.

Spread

The image saw viral spread online through reposts on various blogs and social media websites. For example, on November 19th, 2010, LiveJournal^[2] user manve-rnd posted the image. On May 31st, 2014, Imgur^[3] user innernette0 posted it.

On December 15th, 2017, Facebook^[4] page Being Classically Liberal made a humorous post imagining Disney acquiring increasingly more capital, acquiring states, building military and eventually colonizing space, which parodied the recent streak of acquisitions by the company. Paired with the image, the post (shown below, left) received over 10,000 reactions and 14,000 shares on Facebook and saw further spread through reposts on various sites.

On December 4th, 2018, Redditor Chemical_Two posted the image to the /r/hmmm^[5] subreddit, where it received over 15,600 likes in six years (shown below, right).

In January and February 2024, the image saw use as an illustration for posts about football team Kansas City Chiefs making to Super Bowl and eventually winning it (example shown below).^[6]
