Licky Cat, also known as Lick Icon Base, refers to a GIF depicting a cat licking the camera.
On March 17, 2011, DeviantArt user SketchMichi uploaded an artwork titled "Lick icon base," with each frame of the GIF so users can download and color it in.
Other variations include the "Lick-And-Run Base" by inuyasha1086 in February 2012, in which the cat runs away after the lick. There have also been variations with smoother lines instead of pixelated.
Users often upload their creations using these bases to sites like DeviantArt or Scratch.
