Kimochi is a japanese term that means "feeling." Online, the term has become associated with Japanese pornography and Hentai quotes as the participants would often utter the phrase "Kimochi ii" which is translated as "It feels good."

Origin

In Japanese Pornography and Hentai, the term "Kimochi" or "Kimochi ii" is often used by participants during sexual acts to express their enjoyment.

Spread

On June 12th, 2007, Urban Dictionary user syphillis submitted an entry regarding Kimochi.^[1] On the 4chan archiving website archive.moe, typing the key word "kimochi" would yield more than 6.300 results with the earliest archived post dating back to February 5th, 2008.^[2]
The term "Kimochi" has spawned discussions on various websites including Lowyat,^[3] WordReference,^[4] Yahoo Answers,^[5] Japanese From Zero!,^[6] and JapanReference.^[7]
On May 26th, 2014, Youtube user PeterSubarashii submitted a video where he talks about the word "kimochi" and why it should not be said in public (shown below, left). On February 4th, 2015, Youtuber user Ciel Kagami uploaded a video titled "IKKEH IKKEH KIMOCHI YAMATE KUDASAI" which shows a japanese voice actress doing a recording session (shown below, right). The video gathered over 55.000 views in 6 months.

Kimochi Warui

Kimochi Warui is a term which is translated as "Feeling Unpleasant". In the anime community, the term has become associated with the character Asuka Langley from the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. The term was uttered by her during the ending scene of the 1997 movie The End of Evangelion.
