On May 7th, 2023, rapper Kevin Gates reposted a Reel to his Instagram story that showed a woman standing up, leaning forward on top of a cabinet and giving birth to a baby whose head was just popping out. Gates captioned the video, "The Most Beautiful thing on earth is the gift of Life" (censored screenshot shown below, left). Gates' story soon caused memes and reactions online. The first discovered reaction to the story was a tweet sent by Twitter^[1] user @isseyboy at around 2:42 p.m. EST on May 7th, which read, "DO NOT GO ON KEVIN GATES STORY," and earned roughly 2,200 likes in one day (shown below, right).
