"Just Let It Go Bruh" Backpack refers to a reaction image of a man with a worn-out Gucci backpack hanging by a thread captioned with the phrase, "Just let it go bruh… it's over." The reaction has been used online to indicate that a certain something has run its course and people should let it go, as well as in a similar way to the IT'S OVER meme.
Origin
Prior to July 24, 2019, an unknown user posted a video of a man wearing a heavily worn Gucci backpack at a function. The person filming the video comments on the poor state of the backpack as the straps are seen barely holding on. On July 24th, X[1] / Twitter user @1BellyMac reposted the video to the platform, receiving over 40 likes in five years.

On July 24th, 2019, X[2] user @IAMKRIS24 posted a still frame from the video showing the backpack hanging by its torn strap, captioning the image, "let it go, my brother. it's over." The post (shown below) received over 20,000 reposts and 63,000 likes in five years.
Later on July 24th, the Facebook[3] page Dirty Glove Bastard reposted the image and the caption, with the repost garnering over 1,000 reactions and 5,400 shares in four years.
On November 11th, 2020, X[4] user @lowkeyalbert posted the image, captioning it, "Just let it go bruh …it’s over 😂😂." The post (shown below) received over 2,200 reposts and 9,500 likes in four years, with a screenshot of it gaining popularity as a reaction image.

On December 6th, 2021, the X[5] / Twitter account @reactjpg archived the reaction image.
In 2022 and onwards, the captioned image saw extensive use online, primarily on X / Twitter and Reddit, as a reaction meme. For example, on November 26th, 2022, Redditor dennis_wise_ posted a meme about football player Cristiano Ronaldo that gained over 270 upvotes in the /r/realmadrid[6] subreddit in two years (shown below).
On February 8th, 2023, the X[7] account @oldnbateetz captioned the image, "hating on LeBron in 2023." The post (shown below) garnered over 210 reposts and 1,600 likes in one year.
The image maintained an online presence throughout 2023 and 2024, typically being used to indicate that one needs to let go of something.
