Origin

The line comes from Season 5, Episode 7 of Always Sunny, titled "The Gang Wrestles for the Troops" which first aired on October 29th, 2009.^[1] In the episode, Frank throws a bin full of garbage on the floor. Charlie is angry and says, "What the hell are you doing?" to which Frank responds with the quote "It's my character. I'm the trash man!" (scene shown below).

Ahhh! It's my character. I'm the trash man. I come out, I throw trash all over the ring and then I start eating garbage, and then I pick up the trash can and I bash the guy on the head.
