The video's sound^[3] gained usage going into 2022, such as a video posted by TikToker^[4] @riloes on April 9th, which was a slideshow of multiple Lightskin Stare memes and Quandale Dingle, gaining over 118,400 plays and 14,100 likes in two years (shown below, left).

On October 22nd, 2022, TikToker^[5] @thereal_craigtucker posted a video that sped up the "Reddit Story" audio, gaining over 872,500 plays and 76,100 likes in two years (shown below, right).

The sped-up sound^[6] of @thereal_craigtucker's video also gained usage going into 2023, earning more posts than the original sound. For instance, on January 5th, 2023, TikToker^[7] @jonathan.roehm posted a video in which he lip dubbed the audio, receiving over 678,900 plays and 65,500 likes in one year (shown below).

Usage of the sound continued in 2024 as photo slideshows became the dominant method of spreading the meme. For instance, on April 3rd, 2024, TikToker^[8] @william.scott61 posted a one-photo slideshow with the sound that earned over 2.9 million plays and 495,100 likes in six days.
