HydroDalek's "doin" refers to a remix of the hhgregg Christmas In July commercial set to the tune of "Doin' It Right" by Daft Punk featuring Panda Bear. The video became the most notable "hhgregg" YouTube Poop Music Videos, inspiring further remixes and animations.

Origin

On March 27th, 2015, YouTuber HydroDalek released "doin," a remix of the hhgregg Christmas In July advertisement set to the tune of "Doin' It Right" by Daft Punk ft. Panda Bear. The video gained over 1.01 million views in six years (shown below).

Spread

The HydroDalek remix was later remixed by other YouTubers. The most popular remix of "doin" was published August 10th, 2017 by JerryTerry, and gained more views than the original, gaining over 1.02 million views in four years (shown below, left). On October 25th, 2017, YouTuber Lavender posted a remix that gained over 167,000 views in nearly four years (shown below, right).

On February 9th, 2020, YouTuber Aninymouse uploaded a remix that spliced "Doin' It Right" and "doin" together with a variation on the Annoyed Bird exploitable illustrating the remix. The video gained over 5,900 views (shown below, left). "doin" also inspired animations: on February 20th, 2017, YouTuber scotch posted an animation set to "doin," gaining over 580,000 views (shown below, right).
