Here's What You're Gonna Do is a snowclone meme taken from a scene from Better Call Saul in which the character Mike Ehrmantraut briefs Saul and Kim on how to clean up a sticky situation. In parodies, Mike gives more humorous instructions.

Origin

The scene comes from the eighth episode of the sixth season of Better Call Saul titled Point and Shoot, which first aired on AMC on July 11th, 2022.^[1] In the scene, Mike briefs Saul and Kim about what they need to do that day while he and his crew clean up the aftermath of Howard Hamlin's murder by Lalo Salamanca in the previous episode (scene shown below).

On July 12th, 2022, the meme began to form as Twitter user nomorebananana posted a tweet in which she commented about wanting "a little Mike Ehrmantraut to pop up whenever i mess up and tell me how to fix it".^[2] The tweet (shown below) received over 7,700 likes in nearly one month.

On July 16th, 2022, five days after the episode aired, Twitter user pugmane posted a Tweet of a scenario in which Mike Ehrmantraut instructs how to clean up juice spilled on the floor along with the line "What we're gonna do".^[3] The tweet (shown below) received over 51,000 likes in over three weeks.

Later uses of the meme add a picture of Mike Ehrmantraut to the dialogue. On July 28th, 2022, Twitter user Tf2Cursed posted a Tweet using Mike's face and a scenario in which he's a character in Team Fortress 2. ^[4] The tweet (shown below) received over 1,200 likes in nearly two weeks.
