Gorilla Suit Guy Punch Video, also known simply as the Gorilla Punch Video, is a viral video of a family on a ride called Dinosaurs Island at Clarkland amusement park (resembling Jurassic Park) in which a dinosaur animatronic scares them followed by an actor wearing a gorilla suit who seemingly punches the front of their car, close to the faces of the man and little girl in the front seat. Then, the clip cuts to a family selfie taken by the little girl. The original video was posted to TikTok by user @amveniceyosa in late September 2024. The video inspired reactions and memes from people who thought that the little girl was punched as a viral debate emerged. Viewers thought that the clip was shocking and funny, mostly because the park used a guy in a gorilla suit instead of an animatronic. It later spread to Twitter / X and other social media platforms over the following weeks.

Over 11 days, the video received roughly 54.5 million plays and 3.2 million likes (shown below).

On October 6th, TikToker^[3] @poo._.pee posted a screen recording of the original video, adding text overlay that read, "Guys I've been laughing at this for 20 minutes," gaining over 19 million plays and 3.6 million likes in three days (shown below).
