On the same day, Daily Caller correspondent Henry Rodgers, who authored the article, posted and linked it in an X^[2] post, with the post garnering over 3.5 million views, 2,800 reposts and 3,000 likes in one day (shown below, right).

According to the report, the video was originally shared in "a private group for gay men in politics." The article contained a censored version of the video, and an uncensored version of it was leaked and shared online later.^[3]

Later that day, X^[4] user @adamjmoussa posted a snippet from the Daily Caller article, commenting, "The phrase 'we are so back' gets thrown around a lot these days, but…" The post (shown below) received over 2,000 reposts and 21,000 likes, assisting the spread of the news.
