Specifically, donations to political candidates, parties, etc. We won't be linking to the source (as it could be used for doxxing). This is not a political subreddit and as such shouldn't be flooded with said political discussion. As such, politics have been banned from the subreddit, now noted within the Guidelines Post. That being said, we aren't aiming to silence people's voices, nor are we equipped to deal with a full on political controversy within the entire subreddit. As such, this thread is to allow discussion of the topic so it doesn't have to take up the rest of the subreddit. Please keep all mentions and conversation relating to this situation within this megathread. We will keep it updated if any new information comes to light. Edit 1: New developments regarding the companies Scott donates through and possible connections to a scam as well as two allegedly legitimate donations have been made. I believe Scott is a kind man with a kind heart! That still doesn't change that he donated tons of money to a bunch of anti-LGBT politicians who would love to see people like me and my friends dead. You can be a good person and still inadvertently do bad things. I heavily doubt Scott intentionally donated to these people with the intention to f--- over trans people; that being said, regardless of his intentions, that money is going towards people who actively oppress LGBT people. I Can't Believe Frankoon Caused All This Mess! @thefra... · Jun 12 Scott Cawthon is a f------ chad{ For those who took the time to look, you saw that the candidates I supported included men, women, white people, black people, republicans, and democrats. I supported Kimberly Klacik in Baltimore because I believed that she really cared for the African American community there and wanted to pull them out of poverty. I believed she could have really make a difference in a time when so many black communities were struggling. She lost, unfortunately. I supported Tulsi Gabbard, a democrat, even though I disagreed with her on My response, and maybe last post. Discussion This message isn't specifically directly at the Freddit community; this is just the community that I care about the most and where I choose to post these things. I never cared much for Twitter anyway. To say that the last few days have been surreal would be an understatement. I've debated greatly that way. I choose people who are best for the job; I treat everyone the same, and I ended up with people from all walks of life in my professional life and my personal life as well. That's the way it should be. That's the way I want it to be. That's the way I will continue to be. I have always loved, and will cc community and this fanbase, e doesn't include me anymore. I'm a republican. I'm a Christian. I'm pro-life. I believe in God. I also believe in equality, and in science, and in common sense. Despite what some may say, all of those things can go together.
