Overview
Fedmyster's Pokimane Document Leak refers to a leaked document made by streamer Fedmyster in which he claimed that fellow streamer Pokimane manipulated him and fabricated narrative against him in June 2020, when Fedmyster was removed from the content creator collective OfflineTV. The document contained screenshots of texts between the streamers and became a viral subject of discussions online, with Pokimane later addressing the document on a stream.
Background
June 2020 Events
On June 27th, 2020, member of OfflineTV content creator collective and streamer LilyPichu made Twitter[1] and Twitlonger[2] posts in which she made sexual harassment allegations against former Offline TV manager Chris Chan (both posts later deleted). On the same day, OfflineTV house manager and streamer Yvonne "Yvonnie" Ng made allegations[3][4] against fellow OfflineTV streamer Federico Michael "Fedmyster" Gaytan, also known as "Fed," accusing him of sexual harassment against her, LilyPichu and several other female members of the collective (post shown below). On the same day, Fedmyster was removed from Offline TV.[5]
On the same day, Fedmyster posted a series of tweets[6] admitting to his actions and calling himself "flawed" (tweets shown below).
In the following days, multiple media outlets reported on allegations against Fedmyster and his removal from OfflineTV, including reports by CNN[7] and Dexerto.[8]
During her June 28th, 2020, stream, OfflineTV member Pokimane[9] made allegations about Fed's manipulative behavior towards her, which ultimately led to Pokimane making a decision to depart from the OfflineTV mansion.
He would lie a lot. I had a lot of trust issues with him over the years, and we would fight a lot about things. If he was in the wrong, he would ignore my existence in the house. He would literally refuse to acknowledge me.
November 2020 Events
On November 25th, an unknown source leaked a 25-page document[10] written by Fedmyster in which he accused OfflineTV streamer Pokimane of shaping the narrative against him following the June 2020 events. The document contained multiple screenshots of text exchanges between Fedmyster and Pokimane, with the texts appearing as if Pokimane often flirted with Fedmyster (screenshots shown below). In the document, Fedmyster stated that he is not contradicting LilyPichy's and Yvonne's stories, but instead is "addressing the individuals that I believe are twisting the truth for their own benefit." The link to the document was spread on Discord and 4chan.[11][12]
Developments
Later on November 25th, Fedmyster tweeted[13][14] that the document was indeed created by him several months ago, but he did not intend for it to go public. He clarified that the document was leaked by a person that Fedmyster asked for advice and support following the June 2020 events. Later on the same day, streamer Mizkif[18] revealed that the document was leaked from his Google account after an unknown person gained access to it.
Following the leak, streamer Destiny reviewed the leaked document, commenting on it during his stream. Multiple clips from the stream were subsequently reposted to /r/LivestreamFail[15] subreddit; for example, a clip[16] of Destiny reacting to some of the texts between Pokimane and Fedmyster gained over 11,400 upvotes on Reddit and 210,200 views on Twitch (shown below).
Also on November 25th, Pokimane held a two-hour stream[17] in which she addressed the leaked document (extract shown below).
[…] Ultimately, I think it's fair to say there is my truth, there is his truth, and the actual truth is probably somewhere in between.
Online Reactions
On November 25th, the controversy became a major subject of discussions in /r/LivestreamFail subreddit and on Twitter, with multiple clips from Destiny's[19] and Pokimane's[20] broadcasts being posted.
