Overview
Corey Feldman's TRUTH Documentary refers to a film actor Corey Feldman is attempting to crowd source the funds to make in which he will supposedly expose several child molesters in Hollywood, reigniting his claims that he and friend Corey Haim were sexually abused as child stars in the 1980s.
Background
On October 25th, 2017, in the wake of several people coming forward with their stories of sexual abuse in Hollywood following the Harvey Weinstein Sexual Assault Allegations, Feldman uploaded a video to YouTube outlining his Truth campaign, a documentary film he hoped to make about his experience with sexual assault in Hollywood in which he would reveal several names and incidents of sexual abusers in the film industry. To make the film, Feldman created an Indiegogo[1] crowd-funding campaign asking for ten million dollars.
Developments
After coming out with the campaign, Feldman appeared on The Today Show[2] and on Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly [3] about his campaign. There he laid forth his reasons why he was asking for the money to make the film, as well as said that people in the industry were attempting to kill him for threatening to expose this information. In his interview with Kelly, Feldman said:
Two trucks come speeding at me, on the highway, at the same time. Okay I was with six other people, I have many witnesses to this. Now I’m not saying they were trying to kill Corey Feldman, they were definitely trying to kill a group of people walking across the street.
Feldman has also said he had been arrested and that his band had quit on him for mysterious reasons in his Indiegogo campaign. The Today Show reported that Corey Haim's mother disapproved of Feldman's campaign, saying "If he finally decides to release names and tell the world who they are for the sake of more victims, I'll be 100 percent behind him, but if he's waiting to release the names in the movie, I don't support that." Uproxx[3] covered Feldman's interview with Kelly (shown below). The Daily Dot[4] covered the campaign as well.
The campaign was also popular in several Reddit posts. It was posted to /r/news,[5] where it gained over 88,000 upvotes, and to /r/movies,[6] where it gained over 65,000 upvotes.
