E-Girls In a Car is a photograph of five e-girls, Angelicatlol, Soogz1, Valkcy, Cupkatez and Emmyuh, sitting in the backseat of a car. The photograph was posted to Twitter by Angelicatlol in November 2022 and went viral over the following months, inspiring memes including image macros, with one popular example claiming the girls are femboys.
Origin
On November 20th, 2022, Twitter[1] user and content creator @angeiicat, aka Angelicatlol, posted a photograph of herself sitting with Emmyuh, Cupkatez, Valkcy and Soogz1 in the back of a car, writing, "ur least fav twitter girls," garnering over 57,300 likes in nine months (shown below).
On December 12th, Redditor u/omarahmed_ posted the image to /r/p--nID,[2] writing, "Help a man out, who’s the one in the middle wearing black," receiving a full list of each girl's name and profile from u/Evil_Cushion, garnering over 1,500 upvotes in eight months. On January 1st, 2023, a Doge edit of the image was posted by Imgur[3] user abbiistabbii, garnering over 1,000 upvotes in seven months (shown below). This is the earliest known meme to use the image.

On January 15th, 2023, Twitter[4] user @anonbirdd re-posted the image, writing, "they all have penises," garnering over 53,000 likes before it was deleted (shown below, left). On January 16th, Redditor u/syedrushu45h posted a screenshot to /r/rareinsults[5] of someone commenting on the image, referencing Breaking Bad, garnering over 1,800 upvotes in seven months (shown below, right).
On January 23rd, Instagram[6] user spooky.miller posted the image with the same caption as user @anonbirdd, garnering over 29,600 likes in seven months (shown below). On April 5th, Twitter[7] user @moshpitterr posted the image, writing, "how does this picture make you feel?" garnering over 17,600 likes in four months. On July 17th, Twitter[8] user @soogz1, who is in the photo, commented it on a now-deleted tweet writing, "gotta be this," garnering over 17,000 likes in a month, although the context of the original tweet is unknown.
On July 21st, Twitter[9] user @usersauce posted a Mr. Chedda meme using the image, garnering over 85,400 likes in two weeks (shown below, left). It was reposted by Tumblr[10] user shaunofthedead on July 23rd, garnering over 13,700 notes in the same span of time.
On July 28th an anonymous user of 4chan's /mu/[12] board posted the image, writing, "hey anon! put a song on for us," inspiring responses where anons share what song they would play for the e-girls. On August 2nd, Twitter[11] user @tervisscoot posted an edited version of the photo, writing, "wyd in this situation?" garnering over 5,700 likes in a day (shown below, right).
