Don’t Open Me In Browser
Don’t Open Me In Browser is a reverse psychology bait-and-switch format in which users are provoked into clicking on images that appear differently when opened in browser. The image below illustrates this.[1]
In response[1] to a Reddit user's post asking how one such image works, Redditor Hipolipolopigus explained,
It's an animated PNG two frames in length with looping disabled. Discord doesn't support the format, so it treats it as a regular PNG and only shows the first frame. Most (All?) modern desktop browsers support the format, so they'll show the second frame
