Dazzi is an electric-type Pal introduced in the 2024 RPG survival video game Palworld. After the game's debut in January 2024, the Pal grew popular among fan artists for its feminine design, as well as inspiring memes referencing the character.

Origin

Dazzi is Pal #35^[1] in Palworld and debuted with the game on January 19th, 2024. It is an electric-type Pal with a feminine, oni-like design and wears a constant, sly grin. On October 13th, 2023, it was the subject of a gameplay trailer for Palworld (shown below).

Spread

After the release of Palworld, Dazzi became a quick subject of fan art among fans of the game. For example, on January 19th, 2024, the day of the game's release, Twitter user zachdewd^[2] posted art of Dazzi alongside the Pokémon Landorus, gaining 5 retweets and 40 likes in one week (shown below, left). On January 25th, artwork was posted to Mastodon by user baraag,^[3] gaining 37 likes in one day (shown below, right).

Others made memes about the character. For example, on January 23rd, user @scarecrowmancer^[4] joked about Dazzi with a meme showing Professor Utonium mixing ingredients, gaining 5 retweets and 15 likes in three days (shown below, left).
