About

Cut Homeless People In Half by 2025 refers to a satirical advertisement created by British street artist Fokawolf which looks like an advertisement from the UK Conservative Party stating "We plan to cut all homeless people in half by 2025." Once the advertisement spread on social media, many who did not know it was a parody began joking as if the UK Conservative Party had intentionally created the ad and misstated their actual plan to cut homelessness in half. This led to image macros and parodies of the advertisement.

Origin

On July 18th, 2019, Instagram user and street artist Fokawolf[1] posted an image of a satirical advertisement they created which makes it appear as though the UK Conservative Party was advertising "We plan to cut all homeless people in half by 2025." This was one of several fake ads they'd created. Others read "Our aim is to erase all disabled people by December 2020"[2] and "Time for another little snotty nosed softcock to run the country again."[3]
