Twitter users responded with the various smaller equations they perform to solve the problem. User @WICKEDWIZRD[2] tweeted their solution was to add 7+8 and then 20+40, making 75, gaining over 16,000 likes (shown below, left). User @istylekins[3] posted a more traditional method, gaining over 900 retweets and 10,000 likes (shown below, right). The various responses were covered by Popbuzz.[4]
